Mass of Christian Burial for Gary E. Wagner, age 68, of Creighton, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2023, at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton. Reverend James Keiter will be celebrant, with burial in St. Ludger Catholic Cemetery in Creighton.

Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the church, with a 6:00 p.m. Wake Service followed by a Rosary led by the Knights of Columbus Rosary.

Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton is in charge of arrangements.

Robert (Bob) Leroy Moore was born in Gordon, Nebraska to Mr. Charles Leo Moore and his wife, Mabel Helen (Wamsley) Moore, on 13 July 1933. With great sadness, we announce the passing of Brady Bohlender, a remarkable soul who left us too soon at the age of 24. Brady was born to Rick and Melody Bohlender in Westminster, Colorado, on June 15, 1999. At the age of three Brady, and his family left Colorado and moved to Gordon Nebraska, where he would reside for the next 16 years. Brady then attended the University of Northern Colorado.

Judith Ann Berry, 71, long-time resident of McCook, Nebraska, passed away in her home on November 5, 2023 in Goodland, Kansas. Judith Ann was born to Joseph and Martha (Otte) Vinton on August 23, 1952 in Rushville, Nebraska. Judy was the oldest of 13 children, five sisters and seven brothers who were raised on the family ranch near Eli, Nebraska.

Vesta Lorraine DeWolfe Strasburger, aged 90 years, of Ellsworth, Neb., passed away Tuesday November 14, 2023, after a brief illness. 

She was born in the midst of the Great Depression on June 19, 1933, the youngest child of Harry and Cora Dewolfe, and spent her childhood on their ranch north of Gordon, Neb. 

She rode a cow, ‘General Nuisance’, to grade school and would stop at the watermelon patch on her way home from school and split a watermelon over her knee to share

Margaret Salisbury passed away November 14, 2023 at Highland Park Care Center in Alliance, Nebraska.

She was born to Bennett and Frieda (Pfisterer) Robins in Rushville, Nebraska on May 2, 1925. She spent her childhood at the family ranch along with siblings, Hope, Clifford and Leonard.

Our dear father, Timothy James Bounous,71, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, in Gordon, Nebraska. Tim was the third of six children born to Guy Louis Bounous and Berniece Iown (Bass) Bounous.  He was born September 2, 1952, in Wichita, Kansas.

Quincy Delano Skinner, 88, of Merriman, Neb., passed away Monday, November 20 at his home on the ranch. 

He was born on July 5, 1935 to Byron V. and Pearle J. (Beyersdorf) Skinner in Gordon, Neb. He grew up seven miles west of Merriman with his parents and siblings, Junie and Jerry.

John Lynn Wilson

John Lynn Wilson, 89, of Lakeside, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Box Butte General Hospital in Alliance.

He was born in Ontario, Canada on October 8, 1934 and was raised by foster parents.  John immigrated to the United States in the early 1960’s and worked on ranches in Colorado and Nebraska. After 12 years of working at the Joy Ranch he moved into Lakeside in 1973 and took up beekeeping.

Glenn Denton

Glenn E. Denton Jr., 73, passed away November 25, 2023.  Glenn was born January 31, 1950, to Glenn E. Denton and Joyce (McLatchy Leavitt) Denton.  He attended Craven Creek School District 79 in a one room schoolhouse through the 8th grade.  He attended high school in Rushville, Neb. for 9th and 10th grades and graduated from Polson Mt. High School in 1968.
