Colettie E. "Carla” Cranston 81 of Fort Myers Beach passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Joanne’s House at Hope Hospice. Formerly of Grand Junction CO she had been a resident of Fort Myers Beach since 2007. She was born October 16, 1937 in Erwin, North Carolina a daughter of the late Hubert Cand Edna Mae (Fowler) Porter. Her mother and father are long deceased and she had no siblings.

Gene Edwin Terwilliger, 83, of Spring Lake, N.C., passed away Friday May 3, 2019, at his home after an extended illness.

Roxann was born at Gordon, Nebraska, on December 16, 1940, to Cora and Harold Aspinall and passed away November 5, 2018, at Derby, Kansas.

Roxann attended Valley Union Grade School through the eighth grade then Gordon High School, graduating as valedictorian in 1958. She took part in music, drama, and many other activities and organizations.

Douglas Wayne Reeves

Doug Reeves, 73, passed away peacefully at his home near Delta, Colo., on May 8, 2019, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. His strength and determination was with him thru the end, as was his sense of humor and love of friends and family.

He was born in Alliance in 1945, and graduated from high school in Rushville in 1963. Although he was born a city slicker, he was a cowboy at heart and loved being at, or in, rodeos.

Darlene Hiller

Darlene M. (McCune) Hiller, 83, died on 13 May 2019 in Omaha, Nebraska. Darlene was born on the 13th of July, 1935 and raised in Gordon, Nebraska. She graduated High School as a Gordon High Bronc. In 1968 on the 14th of September she married Clarence P. Hiller.  

In her early years she was an accountant for a Dry-Cleaning Company. She also worked as a cook at the Hacienda and American Legion in Gordon, Nebraska. Darlene was a 600 club bowling member for many years.

Funeral services for Bob Tiensvold of Chadron, NE will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chadron, NE at 10:00 AM with Father Todd Philipsen officiating.  Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, in Chadron, NE.  A vigil will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 7:00 PM at St. Patrick’s.

Mr. Tiensvold passed away on May 10, 2019 at his home in Chadron, NE.

Bob was born on August 15, 1972 in Rushville, Nebraska.

Frances Young

After a short battle with cancer, Frances Elaine (Dobry) Young, 64, passed away at her daughter’s home in Gordon, Nebraska, on Tuesday, April 23, 2019.

Frances was born in Alliance at St. Joseph’s Hospital on November 8, 1954 to Vaclav James Dobry and Rosemarie (Loch) Dobry. She was the fourth of five children. Frances attended high school in Alliance, Nebraska, and graduated in 1973.

Boyd Egli, 85, of Gordon passed away on Sunday April 28, 2019. Boyd Virgil Egli was born October 10, 1933 to Ann H. (Kime) and Johnny Egli at their home south of Gordon.

He graduated from Gordon High School in the early 50’s. He served his country as a mechanic in Germany, at the end of World War II from 1956 to 1958. He was an active member of the Gordon American Legion. Soon after discharge he began working for Teledyne on a seismograph crew. During this time, he traveled the world
