The Lady Mustangs traveled to Chadron Friday night to take on a very good Cardinals team. They played with great effort, but lost the game 65-31. Chadron opened the game with a full court press that the Mustangs handled well for the most part. By the end of the first quarter, however, the Mustangs found themselves down 16-5. The Cardinals came out hot in the second quarter and scored 22 points. At halftime the Mustangs found themselves in a hole, down 38-12. The third quarter turned out to be just like the other two and at the end the Mustangs were down 54-19. The Mustangs never gave up and played hard to the end of the game.
Brandi Roth led the Lady Mustang scorers with 11 points. Hali Sahr has 7, Morgan Sones and Sara Marlatt each had 4, Denie Jacobsen and Cali Mulcahy had 2, and Dani Campbell scored 1. As a team, the Mustangs shot 70% from the free throw line.
