The Gordon-Rushville Mustangs football team suffered a tough 14-12 loss in their season opener against the Ainsworth Bulldogs last Friday. The Mustangs got on the board first, scoring six in the first quarter while holding the Bulldogs scoreless. Ainsworth came back in the second quarter adding seven of their own, making the score 7-6 at half-time.
The Mustangs struggled to score in the third quarter, while the Bulldogs added another seven to their score. Gordon-Rushville scored the final points of the game in the fourth quarter, but were only able to get six, taking a 14-12 loss.

The Mustangs will now travel to Chase County on Friday, September 6.
