The Gordon-Rushville Boys Golf team placed fourth at the Bayard invite with a score of 395.
Renen Sahr won the meet, posting a score of 72 and Tray Hardin placed sixth with a score of 88.
Renen began the day with an eagle on his first hole, following it up with 3 birdies and 2 bogies in the first nine to post a 33 for the first nine. The back nine left him wanting, posting 4 bogies, 3 birdies and a double bogie turning in a score of 39. Renen said, “ I have never played so good and so bad in one round!”
The team showed definite promise with Tray Hardin taking a 6th place finish, returning Kyle Anderson and the newcomers, Corby Johns and Eric Jacobson improving their game. Their next meet will be Tuesday, April 17, in Morrill.
