Last Monday Dani Wellnitz, Gary Kaplan, and Taryn American Horse traveled to Kearney for the UNK Cross Country Invite
Dani Wellnitz placed 3rd (out of 158 runners) with a 15:23 in the 4k (2.5 mile run) this was 20 seconds faster than her time at State last year with these continued improvements she is well on her way on the road to State once again. Taryn had a time of 19:08 with a personal best and a great time considering the complexity of the course.
Gary Kaplan placed 6th in the Boys 5k (3.1 miles) with a 17:23 out of 202 runners. This is a great time for Gary he works very hard in practice and just continues to improve. His placing in the top 10 in this particular invite is living proof. Its a higher level of runners as well as course challenge.
